Make-up lessons: When a mother lets me know at least 2 hrs in advance that her student will be missing a lesson, her name is put on a list of people to call when I have an open spot. If you have an upcoming conflict, please only tell me a week in advance. I can only keep track of one week ahead.  I do not guarantee make-up lessons even if you give me notice. But I will try, as a favor to you, to offer you one. However, sometimes it just doesn’t work out
Service Project
This is the fidget quilt we will be making!

I am so thrilled to tell you that our monster tree earned $1,600 for the Primary Children’s hospital!! I got so many compliments, people loved our tree.

I want to do a service project each year. My goal is to demonstrate to the kids that they possess the skills to make a significant impact for good in the world. This year I have chosen a service project that I think will also give help improve their skills. My friend’s dad has Alzheimer’s and sits in a chair all day fidgeting with his clothes. She asked me if my students would be willing to make some fidget blankets to donate to his care facility. These blankets help those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease by engaging their hands which helps calm their minds. For his Eagle project my son raised money to buy our supplies and is going to cut fabric and assemble kits for my students to sew. The only thing I’m asking is for your students to donate the time to make the quilts. They can do it at home or in class. I estimate about 3-5 hours of work each.  Please talk to them about this project so they can tell me if they want to sew one.
Fashion Show

I am not holding a fashion show this year. I am still working out a plan that will give the kids an opportunity to show off some of their work.

I Prefer Venmo or check.
